Passport Service in Indonesia

Indonesia is a country that requires travelers to have a valid passport. Passport service in Indonesia consists of helping with a new passport application, renewing an old passport and getting a visa to visit Indonesia. It is a fast and convenient way to obtain your visa.

There are a number of documents that must be submitted when you apply for a new passport or to renew an old one. These include a completed passport application form, your passport photo, valid government issued ID, and any additional documentation you may need paspor online.

Your passport is your most important travel document. It should be valid for the length of time you will be traveling and contain plenty of blank pages for any visas that you may need. It is also a good idea to have a backup passport in case your current one gets lost or stolen.

There are two types of passports in Indonesia. These are ordinary non-electronic passports and electronic passports (e-passports).

Ordinary non-electronic passport is the standard type of passport issued to citizens of Indonesia both within and outside the country. It is the most common type of passport used by most people in the country.

The non-electronic passport shows the signature of the bearer along with the official later stamp of the corresponding issuing authority logo on the same page. It also contains ten fingerprints and digital face photographs.

In the second quarter of 2015, the government of Indonesia also started issuing electronic ordinary passports as well. The latter is similar to the non-electronic passport in design except for the cover color and translation. The latest version is a turquoise green with a bilingual cover that translates to “Republik Indonesia” instead of just “Indonesia”.

It is not a work visa nor a visitation visa so you can't use it to obtain other immigration permits like a visa on arrival in the United States or other countries. It can only be used to enter Indonesia for 30 days or less and is not valid for travel outside the country.
